“Rodeo Grand Island,” is an elite pro rodeo all-star event to be held March 2-4.  This is a newly sanctioned Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) event that will be held at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island for the first time in 2017.  The PRCA Wangler Champion’s Challenge will be televised by CBS Sports Network.

Rodeo Grand Island features world class rodeo athletes, championship bucking stock and award winning contract personnel.  The event is produced by South Dakota based Sutton Rodeo, which has enjoyed decades of success around the country.  Sutton Rodeo is the producer of Rodeo Rapid City held annually at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center since 1978-a rodeo nominated 16 times for PRCA’s “Indoor Rodeo of the Year” award.

“We are excited to bring the crown jewels of pro rodeo to the heart of Nebraska,” says Steve Sutton, who along with his wife Kim and their children, and Steve’s parents Jim and Julie Sutton run the rodeo operation.  “This is going to be a world class event with intense competition from some of today’s top rodeo stars.”
