Adjoining Facilities

Fonner Park in Grand Island, Nebraska has been in business since the early 1950’s. Over the years it has grown into the impressive complex of facilities as we know it today.  (Visit the About Us tab for the history and timeline of Fonner Park.)

In 2006 the Heartland Events Center opened its doors.  This beautiful arena and conference center is situated in the center of the Fonner Park Complex.  It is often the hub of activity when multiple events are held simultaneously or as a part of  multi-facility events.

The Nebraska State Fair relocated to Grand Island in 2010, bringing with it a breathtaking array of new structures and facilities. The facilities serve the Nebraska State Fair during August and September each year—and are available for all types of  livestock shows, trade shows, sales, auctions, dog shows, craft shows, new product and equipment launches, large banquets, competitions, and dozens of other activities the remainder of the year.

The entire complex is owned by the Hall County Livestock Improvement Association d/b/a Fonner Park and managed by their staff.

The complex includes the following facilities. (Click on each for specific details)

Fonner Park Executive Offices

The Heartland Events Center and Fonner Park share space in the Hugh Miner Administrative Offices. The administrative offices are located above the 4-H Café on the Fonner Park Campus.

The Fonner Park Executive Board Room is located next to the offices and seats 12 comfortably. This space is available for rental on a limited basis.

The Fonner Park Executive Suite is situated next door to the administrative offices and overlooks the Fonner Park Racetrack. This luxurious suite is a popular spot during live racing. The outdoor veranda attached to the suite is another nice feature of this space. Corporate sponsors and their guests are frequent visitors in the suite during the live race meet. When not in use, this space is available for rental and can seat approximately 50 people.
